ABOUT
Madison Landis Bistro

Where Every Dish Tells a Story
At Madison Landis Bistro, food is more than a meal — it is memory, heritage, and connection. Set within a lovingly preserved colonial-style home in the heart of Rockley, Christ Church, the bistro celebrates the meeting of two rich traditions: soulful Southern American flavors and the bold, vibrant spirit of Bajan cuisine.
Rooted in Legacy
The inspiration behind Madison Landis Bistro is woven into the legacy of its founder, Danny Rivers Mitchell. After years of leading a global community of travelers, Danny chose Barbados as the place to plant new roots. Yet the heartbeat of the bistro stretches back further — to the kitchen of her grandmother.?
“Food is not just nourishment. It is love. It is a ministry. It is healing.”
As a child, Danny watched her grandmother prepare meals that nurtured both family and community, meals that restored not only the belly but also the soul. Those lessons became the foundation of what Madison Landis Bistro represents today.

Honoring the Past, Welcoming the Present
Every corner of the bistro is draped in antiques and timeless details, honoring history while embracing modern hospitality. In the kitchen, recipes passed down through generations are reimagined — weaving together spices, stories, and traditions that bridge cultures and eras.
More Than Dining
Here, dining is not just about food. It is about gathering around the table, sharing laughter, exchanging ideas, and savoring flavors that spark memory and meaning.
Madison Landis Bistro isn’t just where you eat, it's where you belong.
